Easter Weekend post #3

When we finished with the fun at Pops and Memaw's house, we headed over to Daniel's Uncle Sonny and Aunt Carol's house. Danny and Emily were there waiting to hunt eggs with our kids.

When you divide 180ish eggs by 6 kids, each one gets A LOT of eggs! Dakota's basket was overflowing!

We also celebrated Dakota's birthday with Daniel's side of the family. Look closely at this cake. Dakota is turning 12, not 4. Apparently Aunt Carol didn't have 12 regular candles, so Aunt DeAnn had to get creative. So, four plus 8 equals 12! Ha! Whatever works!

Dakota will be well practiced at blowing out birthday candles by the time her party gets here in a couple of weeks.

The original plan was for the kids and I to leave from Aunt Carol's house and come straight home. But, the kids were disappointed that we wouldn't be going to Grandpa and Grandma Phyllis' house and I gave in. We had some yummy dinner with Grandpa and Grandma Phyllis, Aunt DeAnn, and Danny and Emily. The kids got to ride in Grandpa's new ATV buggy. They had a blast!

Then, the kids and I headed home. After all that fun, the ride home was very quiet. Even Landon came in and went straight to his bed when we got home.

We had so much fun this weekend! But I am kind of glad that we don't have to do it all the time. I don't think I have the energy for that much fun very often. :)
