PAWPAW!
Monday, November 16, 2009 my family lost so much. We lost a husband, a daddy, a son, a brother, a father-in-law, and an uncle. But, most of all, we lost our beloved PAWPAW.
My heart wants so much to write some beautifully eloquent post tonight all about my dad. I have so many thoughts going through my mind and I'm afraid if I don't put them down now, that I will forget. And yet, I struggle to find the words.
So, instead, tonight I will rely on pictures and on someone else's words to speak for me when I can't speak for myself.

You're in a better place, I've heard a thousand times
And at least a thousand times I've rejoiced for you
But the reason why I'm broken, the reason why I cry
Is how long must I wait to be with you
And at least a thousand times I've rejoiced for you
But the reason why I'm broken, the reason why I cry
Is how long must I wait to be with you
I close my eyes and I see your face
If home's where my heart is then I'm out of place
Lord, won't you give me strength to make it through somehow
I've never been more homesick than now
Help me Lord cause I don't understand your ways
The reason why I wonder if I'll ever know
But, even if you showed me, the hurt would be the same
Cause I'm still here so far away from home
I close my eyes and I see your face
If home's where my heart is then I'm out of place
Lord, won't you give me strength to make it through somehow
I've never been more homesick than now
In Christ, there are no goodbye
And in Christ, there is no end
So I'll hold onto Jesus with all that I have
To see you again
To see you again
And I close my eyes and I see your face
If home's where my heart is then I'm out of place
Lord, won't you give me strength to make it through somehow
Won't you give me strength to make it through somehow
Won't you give me strength to make it through somehow
I've never been more homesick than now
If home's where my heart is then I'm out of place
Lord, won't you give me strength to make it through somehow
I've never been more homesick than now

The reason why I wonder if I'll ever know

Tiffany,
I'm so sorry for your loss. That song is such a blessing. It ministered to my heart so much after Anna died. I would go and listen to it when I wanted to cry - but they were tears of hope.
I want you to know that I just prayed for you.
May God's peace overwhelm you in the days, weeks, and months ahead. He is faithful!
Love,
Lynnette
